Lyric/ Quote Inspiration
5/5- 5/21 (seniors)
5/5-5/29 (non seniors)
For this project you will be finding a music lyric, poem, or famous quote to use as the inspiration for your piece. Ask yourself; what does this lyric mean to me? What is the story behind the lyric? How can I depict the meaning of this lyric visually?
The actual lyric/ words CANNOT be used in your final work of art. You should rely on the visual elements and style to translate the meaning of the lyric.
STEP 1: 5/5
-Create a google doc and type your name at the top. Then, type your quote/ lyric along with the person who is responsible for the creating the quote
-Decide on the material you will be completing the piece with. If you picked up supplies you have a sheet of paper to use to draw or paint on. If you have your own supplies at home, feel free to use those. You can choose whatever material you like, but I expect you to use the material with the skills we learned in class (if you are using pencil or colored pencil you should be incorporating feathertipping and gradients )
-Type your chosen material below your quote on the same google doc and share with morrism@hcusd2.org by end of day 5/5 (5 points)
STEP 2: 5/6
-Brainstorm a list of things that relate to your lyric choice like colors, objects, sounds, feelings, emotions, (type 10 things minimum on your google doc)
This list will get you started on the visual imagery to incorporate into your design.
- Find all reference images needed for design and add them to your google doc. These images are for you to assist you in representing different subject matter.
share google doc with morrism@hcusd2.org on or before 5/6 (10 points)
STEP 3 : 5/7- 5/8
-Complete at least 1 sketch before starting
-consider all composition techniques learned in class when setting up design
-USE YOUR RESOURCES WHEN SKETCHING AND CREATING FINAL
-This is also the time to experiment and see what will or will not work for final
take picture of sketch and share via remind or morrism@hcusd2.org on or before 5/8 (10 points)
