You will be assigned different sculpture themes over the next few weeks. To make the sculptures you will need to make the clay recipe below(1 batch will be enough for all sculptures). If you do not have the ingredients find and use any other materials in your home to create the sculptures. Items like paper, paper clips, cardboard, etc. can be used to make the daily sculptures.  

please send a photo of your sketch and your sculpture when complete.

Monday 3/30- Design an animal sculpture. Decide on your materials and create a sketch for your sculpture

Tuesday 3/31- Create your animal sculpture

Wed.      4/1 - Create your animal sculpture

Thur.      4/2 - Design an abstract sculpture. Decide on your materials and create a sketch for your sculpture

Friday    4/3-  Create your abstract sculpture 

Monday 4/7-  Create your abstract sculpture

Tuesday 4/8- Abstract sculpture due

The following clay recipe will make about 2 large softball size chunks of clay, so feel free to HALF the recipe

Tips: you will not need to score the clay when attaching, but slip will help. Seaming is going to be a bit more difficult as well. This clay will be harder to work with and will not allow for as many details as you are used to.
